The Cambridge School of Beauty Therapy is well known in the industry for providing students with first class training. Our school was established in 1983 and since the early years it became a CIDESCO accredited school. CIDESCO as the world’s most prestigious qualification has been a very good fit for our school. Over the years we have trained hundreds of CIDESCO students from the UK and abroad.
75th CIDESCO ANNIVERSARY
2021 marks the 75th anniversary since the foundation of CIDESCO. This year we want to celebrate our long-standing relationship of 31 years with CIDESCO which enabled us to meet students from different corners of the world. For this reason, we want to stop and lookback to highlight some of our past CIDESCO graduates’ experiences. At the same time, we want to feature the key points of our journey with CIDESCO and CIDESCO accredited courses that we offer.
OUR JOURNEY SO FAR
Our school could only maintain the world renowned CIDESCO standards thanks to a number of excellent tutors that we had with us over the years. A special recognition goes to Helle Birch Smith who has taught Aesthetics and Electrical Epilation for several years before handing over to Charlotte Smith in 2015. Another key member of our teaching staff was Polly Scott who had taught Body Therapy and Aromatherapy. A big Thank you also goes to all other part time and visiting lecturers who have contributed to the excellent standards of training provision of our school.
Our school offers the CIDESCO Diploma in Beauty Therapy as a full-time course. It starts every September and together with the CIDESCO diploma syllabus our students also study Aromatherapy and Electrical Epilation. As part of the training, we organise health farm days to simulate the salon working experience. This is one of the course’s key highlights and students really enjoy it.
In our hands on practice, we provide product knowledge of two globally recognised products; Dermalogica and Environ. Annually, professionals from each brand visit the school to provide training in advanced workshops. As we are preparing our therapists to go out in the world of work, career talks are part and parcel of the course. In the past, students have embarked on ‘theonboardspa’ experience, joined luxurious spas like Ragdale Hall or opened their own business in spa and beauty both in the UK or abroad.
